Passenger car registrations in the EU: +14.6% in June, +8.2% over six months

Reaching +14.6% (1,364,009 units sold), in June 2015 new passenger car registrations kept growing for the twenty-second consecutive month, marking the best monthly increase since December 2009.

A significant result, supported by double digit growth in all main national markets: Spain showed the best upturn (+23.5%) followed by France (+15.0%), Italy (+14.4%, with 146,682 new cars registered, 18 thousand more than June 2014), Germany and UK (+12.9%).

In the first six months of 2015 European market expanded by 8.2%, totalling 7,169,984 units, over half a million more compared to the first semester of 2014. Spain posted the highest growth (+22.0%), followed by Italy (+15.2%, nearly 115 thousand units over the same period last year), UK (+7.0%), France (+6.1%) and Germany (+5.2%).
